Privacy policy

Moonies Movers Ltd is a family owned removalist company based at 1620 South Eyre Road, Christchurch, New Zealand. This policy explains what happens to the information you give us through this website. It is written in plain language because there is very little to describe: there is no contact form, no account, no checkout, and no mailing list on this site.

What you can send us, and how

The only ways to reach us through this site are a phone call, an email, and the Google Maps embed on the contact page. If you call 027 474 8717, we keep the details needed to arrange and carry out your job. If you email mooniesmovers@gmail.com, we keep your email address and whatever you attach to it.

We use those details for one purpose: quoting for, planning and carrying out your removal. We do not sell them, rent them, or pass them to advertisers. We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote.

The Google Maps embed

The contact page embeds a Google Map so you can see where the business address is. Loading that embed is a request to Google, which means Google receives the request in the course of serving it and may set cookies or collect technical information under its own privacy policy. If you would rather it did not, the same address is written in plain text on the page and in our footer, and the map is not required to contact us.

Web fonts

This site loads two typefaces from Google Fonts. As with the map, that is a request to Google when a page loads. No information about you is sent with it beyond what any web request reveals about your browser and connection.

What is not collected

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, runs no tracking scripts, and has no newsletter sign-up. We cannot tell who read a page, how long they stayed, or where they went next.

Keeping records

Job records are kept for as long as we need them for the work and for our own accounting obligations under New Zealand law, and then they are disposed of. We do not keep a copy of conversations for any other reason.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. Ask by phoning 027 474 8717 or emailing mooniesmovers@gmail.com, and you will get a straight answer.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is nothing hidden in the small print and no consent banner to click past, because there is nothing here that requires one.
