A quote gives you a fixed price for a defined piece of work, which is what most house removals need. If you know what is going, roughly how much of it there is, and where it is going, a quote lets you plan the move around the cost. It is the right choice for a whole-house move, a move to North Canterbury, or any job with a clear shape to it.

When hourly rates suit the job

Hourly rates suit work whose size is not settled when you make the call. A garage that keeps producing furniture once you start. A house that has to be sorted as it is packed. A single heavy item that takes longer on the day than anyone expected — a platform bed frame being taken apart in the bedroom, a wardrobe coming down a narrow stair. With hourly rates the job is paid for as it is done, and you are not paying for a load that never got loaded.
